What will you do? Make an impact! We are looking for a Chemist to carry out chemical and radiochemical analysis within our laboratory team. You will support accurate testing, maintain high quality and safety standards, and help improve laboratory methods and processes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing and analysing chemical and radiochemical samples
- Recording, interpreting and reviewing analytical results
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, records and stock levels
- Supporting the development of analytical methods
- Working in line with quality, safety, environmental and regulatory standards
Do you have what it takes?
- A degree in chemistry or a relevant scientific discipline
- Experience working in an analytical laboratory
- Knowledge of chemical analysis techniques
- Strong attention to detail and good time management
- Good IT skills, including Excel and Word
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and safety-conscious approach
Desirable skills:
- Radiochemistry experience
- Knowledge of the waste or nuclear industries
- Experience within an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory
- Relevant professional membership or accreditation
