Plant Operator
Swindon
Shift Pattern: 4o4o Days and Nights
Working hours: 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
Your Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Always carry out your duties safely and in full compliance with site procedures and legislation.
- Wear the correct PPE at all times while on site.
- Immediately report any safety concerns, hazards or issues to your Supervisor, Team Leader or Site Management.
- Report all near misses, accidents, incidents and non-conformances promptly and accurately.
Operations
- Support the efficient operation of the plant by maintaining appropriate loading rates and seeking guidance from your Supervisor or Team Leader when required.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient turnaround times.
- Load and unload trailers and containers as instructed.
- Work collaboratively across the site, supporting other areas of the operation when required.
- Operate plant and equipment in accordance with site permits, consents and operating procedures.
- Complete all required operational checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules.
- Work with your Supervisor or Team Leader to identify and resolve operational issues, using initiative where appropriate.
- Ensure all 770-litre bins are washed, cleaned and maintained after each use.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site, including removing litter and keeping work areas clean and safe.
