What will you do? Make an impact! Tradebe is seeking reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our dedicated transport team. If you take pride in safe driving, high standards, and a role that offers UK-wide travel and overnight stays, we would love to hear from you. Shift options available: 4 on 4 off (4o4o) or Monday to Friday.
Role Responsibilities:
- Safely and professionally transport customers' waste in accordance with company and legal requirements.
- Complete all work-related paperwork fully and accurately, handing it in at the end of each shift.
- Carry out thorough vehicle checks before and after shifts to ensure compliance and safety.
- Drive in line with Road Traffic Law, the Highway Code, and ADR regulations at all times.
- Report any vehicle defects promptly to your line manager or shift supervisor.
- Adhere to all site rules, including those at customer locations.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Correctly complete consignment notes and other transport documentation.
- Undertake overnights and changeovers across the UK as part of the tramper role.
- Receive a paid overnight allowance for nights spent away from home.
Do you have what it takes?
Essential Skills:
- Happy to Tramp
- Good communication skills
- Correct Licence for the type of vehicle required to drive HGV C+E
- Valid CPC and Digital tachograph cards
- Understanding of EU Driver & Working time laws
Desirable Skills:
- ADR qualified (training can be provided)
- Experience in handling waste (Healthcare & Hazardous waste desirable)
- Use of handheld devices e.g., PDA or similar
