What will you do? Make an impact! We are looking for a dedicated and safety-focused Cemfuel Operator to join our operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys hands-on work in an industrial environment and is keen to develop their skills within the waste processing and alternative fuels sector. As a Cemfuel Operator, you will play a key role in the production of Secondary Liquid Fuel (SLF) by operating blending plant equipment and processing a variety of waste streams safely and efficiently. You will work across different operational areas, supporting site activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- To operate fixed and mobile plant and equipment in accordance with safe operating procedures and practices.
- To demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn and take ownership in areas of expertise.
- To be able to respond in case of a site emergency to ensure safety of self and those around you.
- To actively report safety observations or defects.
- To wear the correct PPE.
- To maintain the high standards of housekeeping and presentation.
- To attend all required training to retain and progress knowledge in areas of work according to personal competency plan.
- To deliver required levels of throughput in areas of work.
- To report maintenance issues and assist where necessary in their resolution.
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections for your area of knowledge.
- To ensure that all required records are maintained.
- To assist with month end data collection.
- To perform all other reasonable duties and tasks as requested.

- Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Cool under pressure.

- Health & safety qualification (IOSH).
- Knowledge of solvent processing and blending principles and tools.
- Forklift truck licence.
- Driving licence to assist with learning of site shunter, van tanker, hook loader etc.
- Permit training.
- First aid at work.
- Experience in chemicals / waste industry.
- Emergency response experience.
