What will you do? Make an impact! TradeBe is recruiting a HGV Class 1 experienced driver to work night shifts. Work pattern is 4 on 4 off. The main purpose of the role is the collection of clinical waste from customer sites such as Acute Hospitals and Transfer Stations. In addition, you will be tasked with the following:
- Safely collect, load, unload, and segregate customers' waste in compliance with company procedures, site rules, and legal requirements.
- Carry out vehicle checks, ensure loads are secure, report defects/issues, and maintain vehicles (cleanliness, refueling).
- Drive professionally in full compliance with the Highway Code and ADR law.
- Communicate effectively with management and the team about delays, issues, or safety concerns to support operational efficiency.
- Represent the company professionally at all times by being presentable, courteous, and adhering to standards.
Do you have what it takes?
- Good communication skills
- Good customer relations
- Correct Licence for the type of vehicle required to drive HGV CE or C (depending on position applied)
- Valid CPC and Digital tachograph cards
- Understanding of EU Driver & Working time laws
Desirable Skills:
- ADR qualified (training can be provided)
- Experience in handling waste (Healthcare & Hazardous waste desirable)
- Use of handheld devices e.g., PDA or similar
