The role holder will perform day-to-day maintenance tasks associated with the operation of the site, while maintaining the highest level of compliance with the company's health and safety, environmental, procedural and statutory goals.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic plant and equipment on the Heysham site (as far as skills allow).
- Assist as required in mechanical or other engineering tasks as the workload demands.
- Completion of necessary work permits and associated systems to allow safe maintenance and repair works to be carried out.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards across the whole site.
- Participate wherever possible in the installation and design of new equipment and processes.
- Work with and in compliance with written maintenance and operational procedures.
- Contribute to achieving the department's and site's production and performance objectives.
- Analyse and interpret data to resolve breakdowns or problems.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice.
- Be available for a reasonable amount of overtime including out of hours call outs to enable the company to meet its production needs.
Requirements:
- Hold a recognised mechanical qualification.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in mechanical maintenance on Pumps, Tanks and Pipework.
- Experience of working within a CMMS run maintenance department.
- Hold a Fork Lift Truck licence.
- Confined space training.
