What will you do? Make an impact!
The main purpose of the role is the collection of clinical waste from customer sites such as Acute Hospitals and Transfer Stations. In addition, you will be tasked with the following:
* To collect Customers waste in a safe and professional Manner.
* To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
* To carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
* To report any non-conformities / near misses to their line manager.
* To drive to the Road Laws and the Highway Code including ADR law.
* To report vehicle defects to their line Manager / shift Supervisor.
* To work alongside team members.
* To unload and load waste containers on and off of the assigned vehicle safely and in line with company polices & procedures.
* To adhere to all site rules whether on Tradebe or customers sites.
* To wear all required PPE at all times.
* To attend team briefings/drivers meetings etc.
* To be smart and presentable at all times by wearing clean & correct company uniform.
* To be professional at all times when on customers site\’s.
* To report any issues on return to site during driver de-brief.
* To contact site during the shift about any possible issues or delays resulting in missed collections.
* To keep all vehicles assigned to them clean and tidy.
* To refuel all assigned vehicles at the end of the shift.
* Not to over load their vehicle.
* Ensure that all loads are secure and safe before travel.
* Not to mix load waste without proper segregation.
* To use the PDA mobility on each collection.

Do you have what it takes?
* Good communication skills
* Good customer relations
* Correct Licence for the type of vehicle required to drive
* HGV C+E or C (depending on position applied)
* Valid CPC and Digital tachograph cards
* Understanding of EU Driver & Working time laws
Desirable Skills:
* ADR qualified (training can be provided)
* Experience in handling waste (Healthcare & Hazardous waste desirable)
* Use of handheld devices e.g., PDA or similar
