The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is a large trade union representing nursing staff and students in the UK, with over half a million members. We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and are seeking an Activist Engagement Officer to support activism and equalities initiatives across the UK.

This role involves working within the Activist Engagement Team in the new RCN Activism Academy, supporting member activism, and fostering new routes into activism. The successful candidate will help build and support equalities activism, develop engagement strategies, and work closely with the EDI team to implement strategies aligned with the RCN’s 5 Year Plan.

Key responsibilities include inspiring and influencing activism, implementing creative and practical plans, and understanding building activism for social change. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for healthcare and nursing, and a good understanding of EDI best practices.
