GMB Southern Region has a vacancy for the position of Education and Equality Officer based in the Southern Region. The successful candidate will develop and deliver training throughout the entire region. As the post will cover the entirety of the Region, it will require a degree of flexibility to necessitate periods of travel and time away from home.
The successful candidate will fulfil the person criteria as set out in section 3 of the job description and will have a proven track record in building effective Trade Union Organisation and in the development of an Organising Culture for both employees and lay members. They will have a clear understanding of equality legislation, best practice and policies throughout the different jurisdictions covered by the region.
