Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Thurrock. We are seeking an experienced Protection Adviser to join a fast-growing, whole-of-market mortgage brokerage. Working closely with a team of mortgage brokers, you will advise clients on a wide range of personal and business protection solutions, supporting both retail and high-net-worth clients already engaged in financial services such as residential mortgages, commercial mortgages, and bridging finance. This role benefits from a consistent flow of warm, pre-qualified leads, allowing you to focus on advising, building trust, and developing long-term client relationships rather than sourcing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of personal and business protection products
- Working closely with mortgage brokers to support wider client needs
- Managing a portfolio of retail and high-net-worth clients
- Recommending appropriate protection solutions, including:
- Life Insurance
- Critical Illness Cover
- Income Protection
- Business Protection
- Advising on key business protection policies, including:
- Key Person Insurance
- Shareholder Protection
- Managing and progressing a pipeline of warm, pre-qualified leads
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Ensuring all advice is fully compliant with FCA and regulatory requirements
- Working towards and exceeding individual performance targets
Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in financial services or protection sales
- Proven track record in protection or insurance sales
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence dealing with high-value and complex clients
- Target-driven with a strong commercial mindset
Desirable:
- Experience advising on both personal and business protection
- CeMAP qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
