Due to a continued expansion, our client is looking for experienced, full-time vehicle collection & delivery drivers, on a contracted self-employed basis. Immediate starts available for the right candidate.
As a vehicle movement driver, you will collect and deliver new and used vehicles all over the UK from Dealerships, Auction Sites, Vehicle Compounds, etc., in a reliable, timely and professional manner. Part of your duties will be accurately appraising the vehicle before collection on the appropriate App, noting any existing damage for customers' vehicles, so attention to detail is paramount.
For your application to be considered, there needs to be certain criteria met:
- You must be of smart appearance, be disciplined and organised, and possess excellent interpersonal skills for when dealing with customers and throughout your working day.
- Good problem-solving skills and strong communication are essential.
Commencement within 7 working days for suitable, job-related experienced and successful applicants.
Required Criteria:
- Hold a full UK Licence with no more than 6 active penalty points.
- No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- Experience of vehicle movements or professional delivery driver role current or previously.
- The last vehicle you collect in the day (carryover) is usually taken home to deliver early the next working day, so having off-road parking at your home address is required.
- You must be able to demonstrate a good level of customer care and courtesy when dealing with clients at all levels.
- A knowledge of using mobile apps would be a distinctive advantage and also have access to email to assist in your day-to-day workload.
This role would be suitable for most experienced drivers, but especially those with good discipline, planning, organisational, and customer service skills. This is a full-time Monday to Friday role with early starts and sometimes late finishes.
Public transport cost reimbursements paid in full. Equipment provided at no charge to you: (Insured Trade Plates, Fuel card, Tablet, Uniform, a Hi-viz vest & a Dash-cam) to conduct your duties to the best of your ability. Full office support is provided, both during working hours and out of hours emergencies. Referral program.
