Our client is looking for full-time EXPERIENCED trade plate drivers, on a contracted self-employed basis. Immediate starts available for the right candidate. PLEASE NOTE: OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED TRADE PLATE DRIVERS ONLY. If you have NOT done professional vehicle movements deliveries previously, you WILL NOT be considered, thank you.
As a trade plate driver with our client you will collect and deliver new and used vehicles all over mainland UK in a timely and professional manner. Part of your duties will be accurately appraising the vehicle before collection, noting any existing damage through the app used by our client for their customers’ vehicles, so attention to detail is paramount.
You must be of smart appearance, be disciplined and organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills for when dealing with customers and throughout your working day.
- Driving Licence: Hold a full UK Licence with no more than 6 active penalty points. No disqualifications from driving in the past 4 years. Codes DD, DG, DR, IN, MS or TT are not considered.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- The last vehicle you collect in the day is usually taken home to deliver early the next working day, so having off-road parking at your home address is required. (This will be a driveway or official off-road parking area. If parking area is part of road, this is not sufficient for insurance purposes).
You must be able to demonstrate a good level of customer care and courtesy when dealing with clients and customers at all levels. A calm, polite and professional manner is required at all times. A knowledge of using mobile apps would be a distinctive advantage and also have access to email to assist in your day to day workload. Full training on company movement Apps & procedures will be provided.
This is a Monday to Friday role with some early starts and sometimes late finishes. Your start time each day is determined by the carryover you took home the day before and where that vehicle needs to be delivered to by 9am every day, so very early starts some days. Which could be anywhere in mainland UK. So you will travel far and wide across the country.
Weekly Pay: Wages paid just 4 days after completed working week. Wages earning range of £400–£700 per week. Insured Trade Plates & Fuel Card provided. Insurance Criteria requires all drivers to be aged 30+. Full planning & office support provided each working day along with Out Of Hours Emergency contact assistance.
