Trade Cover Recruitment is seeking an experienced Night Shift Site Manager to oversee a construction project based on Regent Street, London.

This is a temporary night-shift position suited to an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in refurbishment and construction projects, together with excellent leadership, coordination and health & safety knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all site operations throughout the night shift.
  • Supervise refurbishment works, ensuring they are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety legislation and site requirements.
  • Manage deliveries, site logistics and the movement of materials during the night.
  • Monitor progress against the project programme and ensure deadlines are maintained.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Liaise with the day-shift management team to ensure a smooth handover between shifts.
  • Complete daily/nightly site reports and maintain all required documentation.
  • Ensure the site remains secure, clean and safe throughout the night.
  • Identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain clear communication with contractors, subcontractors and the wider project team.

Essential Requirements

  • Must have Tripple SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Previous experience managing night-shift construction operations would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and make effective decisions during the night shift.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project standards.

This is a night-shift Site Manager position, responsible for overseeing the site and construction activities outside normal daytime working hours.

The successful candidate will be expected to ensure that all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project programme, while providing a detailed handover to the incoming day-shift team.
