Energy UK’s events and membership teams deliver impactful initiatives through strong relationships with members and partners. This role builds relationships with Members, sponsors, and stakeholders across the sector, driving commercial opportunities and fostering new collaborations.

The role involves responsibility for organising and delivering a range of events, including breakfast briefings, roundtables, dinners, Parliamentary receptions, hybrid and online events, and larger-scale conferences. Ensuring inclusive experiences for attendees while supporting Energy UK’s wider engagement and stakeholder objectives is essential.

Main Duties
  • Support Energy UK’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth across membership, events, sponsorship, training and partnerships.
  • Identify, negotiate and secure new opportunities, including partnerships, sponsorships and training course bookings.
  • Engage with companies across and outside of our membership to explore collaboration potential.
  • Build understanding of the energy landscape and Energy UK’s role within it.
  • Use data to track and improve member engagement, attendance and event quality.
  • Lead on specific events and projects.
  • Build trusting relationships and understand key priorities and interests of our Members, linking them to Energy UK’s work.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills, managing competing priorities across a varied workload.
  • A proactive mindset, confident to take ownership and contribute ideas.
  • Comfortable working with data and feedback to improve engagement, attendance and delivery.
  • Interest in developing commercial opportunities and supporting member engagement activity.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting events, projects or partnerships.
  • Collaborative approach, working effectively with colleagues and external organisations.
  • Interest in the energy sector and business landscape.
  • Experience with digital tools and online platforms for events, engagement and day-to-day operations is an advantage.
