A well-established and highly respected professional membership organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Events Manager to lead the delivery of a dynamic and high-profile national and regional events programme. The Role of Events Manager
This is a senior and highly varied role responsible for planning and delivering a diverse portfolio of events, ranging from flagship conferences to regional forums, networking events and technical briefings. Working closely with senior stakeholders, committees, sponsors and internal teams, you will ensure events are delivered to an exceptional standard, on budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will also take ownership of the regional events programme while supporting the wider portfolio and contributing to its ongoing growth and success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning and delivery of a complex programme of in-person and virtual events
- Managing budgets, financial performance and event ROI
- Line managing and developing a small events team
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders, sponsors and committees
- Working closely with marketing teams to maximise attendance and engagement
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a senior events role delivering a varied events portfolio
- Experience managing and developing staff
- Strong budget management and commercial awareness
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative approach and strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience using CRM and event management systems
- Experience within a membership body, professional services or regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
