We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machinery including agricultural equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete maintenance tasks
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and minimise downtime
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in repairing diverse machinery or equipment
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical trades are advantageous but not essential
