The Service Technician plays a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality support for Tractel UK’s lifting, height-safety, and load-handling solutions. This role is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of Tractel equipment, ensuring full compliance with UK safety regulations and company standards, by providing expert technical service, clear documentation, and professional customer support. The Service Technician helps maintain Tractel’s reputation for safety, efficiency, and outstanding service while supporting the wider team in achieving operational and customer-satisfaction goals.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of Tractel lifting/man riding, height-safety, and load-measurement equipment
- Carry out LOLER/PUWER inspections and ensure all work complies with relevant UK safety standards and Tractel procedures
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete necessary corrective actions safely & efficiently
- Conduct site visits at customer sites, to inspect and problem solve client machines
- Prepare detailed service reports, inspection certificates, and documentation for customers and internal systems
- Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers both on-site and remotely
- Work collaboratively with the service team, sales team, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participate in training to remain current on Tractel products, safety standards, and new technologies

Qualifications & Competencies:
