We’re looking for a hardworking person to join our Site Operations team as a Stores Assistant.

At a Glance

  • Contract: Part time, 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, Fixed Term for 3 months.
  • Office-based: At our Shenstone office

As Stores Assistant you will support the Resource Manager in the inventory management and general repairs and maintenance of survey equipment to ensure they are available for traffic surveys and the site team. You will also assist in the stock control function and support in fleet management including vehicle checks and vehicle allocation.

What you will do:

  • Resource Support: You will assist in organising and planning all inventory management activities. Ensure equipment is ready and available for projects as and when required. Ensure that any equipment and/or materials that are late or are holding up a project are chased and followed up until received. Take receipt of deliveries and store items in the stores area accordingly. Ensure that the stores area is kept clean, tidy and items are stored methodically.
  • General Repairs and Maintenance: Assist in general repairs of faults to equipment and maintain equipment in a timely manner to avoid a delay in re-circulating for survey tasks.
  • Fleet Management: Assist with the process of vehicle servicing, repair, and maintenance, maintaining all records concerned with this process.

What we want you to have:

  • A desire to learn new skills, have a keen eye for detail and be well organised.
  • Be a good planner with the ability to be pro-active when approaching work.
  • Be able to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle and be confident in navigating to various site locations when required.
  • Desirable to have previous electrical repair experience.
  • Be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Able to work in a safe manner and promote the company mission and values.
  • Have excellent time management skills.
  • Be able to deal with large volumes of work in peak periods and problem solve under pressure.
