Project Coordinator
About the Role
We're looking for an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Traffic Projects team and help deliver a wide range of traffic and transport data collection projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple activities, working with different teams, and ensuring projects run smoothly from planning through to completion. You'll play a key role in supporting project delivery by coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you'll help transform client requirements into well-organised plans that enable successful project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Coordinator, you will:
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of traffic and transport data collection projects.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, installation instructions and operational plans.
- Coordinate with Scheduling, Equipment and Technician teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure information is updated within internal systems.
- Support the delivery of smaller projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate project logistics, including equipment, permissions, licences, accommodation and technician deployment where required.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, RAMS and company quality processes.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to help enhance project coordination and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who are highly organised, enjoy solving problems and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will ideally have:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and learning new systems.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to work.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and remain effective when managing competing deadlines.
- A willingness to learn about traffic and transport surveys, equipment and operational processes.
- A full UK driving licence.
Previous experience in project coordination, project administration, operations support or a similar role would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from individuals looking to develop their career within project management.
