The Role
We’re looking for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join our team in Leeds. This is a brilliant opportunity to build experience in a highly visible role, supporting corporate governance, compliance, and ESG initiatives across the Group. Working closely with the Group Company Secretary, you’ll play a key role in ensuring governance processes run smoothly, supporting high-quality reporting, and contributing to sustainability and disclosure activities that underpin our long-term success.
What you will do
- Support Board, Committee, SLT and AGM processes, including agenda planning and coordination
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings within required deadlines
- Assist with the Annual Report & Accounts process
- Contribute to ISO standards, audits, and governance-related activities
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Company Secretariat function
You’ll also have responsibility for:
- Calculating the Group’s carbon emissions to support ESG reporting
- Developing and maintaining a Group-wide bid and tender response repository
- Maintaining the Environmental Management System and supporting colleagues with guidance
What you'll bring
- Previous administrative experience in a professional or corporate environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate effectively
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a flexible approach
- Strong document management and administrative capability
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in a company secretarial or governance-related role
- Exposure to ESG reporting or environmental management systems
