The Opportunity
As our Media Assistant, you’ll be the key link between our on-site technicians and our data enumeration team—making sure CCTV footage is handled correctly and efficiently from the moment it arrives through to secure storage and successful transfer. You’ll also support the preparation and handling of our data collection equipment alongside the Stores Supervisor.
What you’ll do
- Handle, transfer, verify and securely store CCTV footage collected by on-site technicians across the UK.
- Plan and execute daily footage transfers to the data enumeration team.
- Quality-check footage and provide clear, timely updates to the Project Manager.
- Troubleshoot recording issues and log them in our internal reporting tool for investigation.
- Liaise with project teams to resolve issues quickly, escalating where needed.
- Arrange daily pick-up and drop-off of recording media (SD cards).
- Maintain sufficient stock levels of recording media for the on-site technician team.
- Support the handling and preparation of data collection equipment with the Stores Supervisor.
- Attend internal project meetings when required.

- Experience with video editing software and using Network Attached Storage (beneficial, not essential).
- Flexible approach to working hours, particularly during peak periods.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Great planning and time management, with a proactive and positive mindset to getting things done.
- Willingness to learn bespoke software specific to the role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilience under pressure: able to manage large volumes during peak periods and still hit deadlines.
