POSITION SUMMARY
The Supplier Relationship Manager is responsible for completing all aspects of contracting within the EMEA region on behalf of the brand. This includes, but is not limited to, Dining Experiences, Venues, Transport suppliers, Local Guides, Sightseeing services, Local Agents. The role requires strong negotiation skills combined with a creative approach to secure the best possible deals within budget. All activities must comply with the brand guidelines and meet the highest health and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers
- Act as the main point of contact, ensuring smooth communication, effective negotiation and quick resolution of issues
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms that align with budget and business goals
- Ensure all rate agreements, pricing models, and commercial terms are well-documented and clearly communicated to both internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Source new suppliers and ensure these are of the required standards to satisfy the specific demands of the brand
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. finance, operations, product) to ensure they are up to date with any changes related to suppliers
- Address any quality issues and answer promptly and efficiently any queries regarding contracted suppliers
- Lead supplier onboarding and exit processes, ensuring smooth transitions
- Ensure all suppliers comply with legal, insurance, and safety requirements
- Understand the contracting region, the supplier and the competitive landscape
- Train and coach a Supplier Relationship Specialist and/or a Contracting Support Administrator
- Maintain an environment which supports the spirit of teamwork and where team members are committed, loyal and take pride in working for the company
ROLE SUCCESS CRITERIA, EXPERTISE & SKILLS
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship building skill
- Fluent in English. Very good level of French and/or German is a must
- Proven track record of negotiating rates and terms with ground service providers
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and deadlines simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to understand the need to meet agreed targets and deadlines whilst remaining positive, confident and approachable
TRAVEL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in the river cruise industry is an advantage
- Work Location: London - Hybrid (office & remote)
- Travel: International travel required, attend Trade shows and business events
- Driving license
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
