As part of the work that we do with UK policing we are making a genuine difference to society by helping to tackle organised criminality; in 2025 alone, we helped them close down 78 chop shops, whilst supporting on multiple investigations.

Tracker is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Director, to join a well-established market leading Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Telematics Company based in Uxbridge. With vehicle theft at a 15 year high in the UK, and increased public recognition of its prevalence, there is an increase requirement for Tracker's services. Insurance companies are significantly increasing premiums, and in the case of a number of higher risk, more valuable vehicles, people are struggling to get insurance at all. Working closely with Tracker's Insurance Sales Director, there is a fantastic opportunity to materially grow the business through the core automotive channels.

Tracker has a full range of services, from its traditional, marketing leading stolen vehicle recovery and control room services, to a suite of telematics offerings encompassing fleet and Insurance. We are looking to build on this competitive advantage with an increased focus on the B2B market. We are recruiting an Automotive Sales Director, to work directly into the Managing Director, to drive our sales strategy and deliver strong, profitable revenue growth. The candidate should have a proven track record of over delivering against targets, as well as extensive experience in the automotive space, and an excellent network across dealer groups, OEM National Sales Companies and Lease, Rental and Finance channels.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth, whilst maintaining strong gross profit and EBITDA %
  • Build solid sales pipeline, consistently moving opportunities through the funnel with strong win rate
  • Define, own and deliver the sales strategy, focusing on B2B opportunities across auto dealers, OEM National Sales Companies, Lease, Rental and Finance channels
  • Lead, motivate and energise a team of field sales people and be accountable for their results; setting targets and ensuring ongoing capability development
  • Create a positive, high-performance sales culture built on accountability and enthusiasm
  • Actively coach, mentor and inspire the Sales Team
  • Champion innovation, continuous improvement and new sales approaches
  • Implement a process driven, methodological approach, with clear focus on sell-through as well as sell-in
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reporting on pipeline, team activity and revenue expectations
  • Put in place account development plans with sales teams for major accounts to ensure delivery against revenue predictions and development of new revenue streams
  • Effectively collaborating with Product, Software Engineering, Logistics, Sales Support, Finance and Marketing teams
  • Represent the company with confidence and passion to customers and partners

Primary Requirements

  • Exceptional Team management, inspiring and influencing, to get the best out of our existing people, and be able to bring great new people into the team
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Solid network across dealer groups and OEM National Sales Companies
  • Evidence of proven success in an Automotive Sales Director role
  • Ability to engage at C-level across customer base
  • Good quantitative and analytical competency
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Other qualifications considered a plus
  • Solid capability in SaaS sales
  • Solid network across Lease, Rental and Finance channels
  • Solid network in and understanding of telematics insurance
  • Experience in large multinational companies
