As our team continues to grow, we are looking for an organised, proactive, and people-focused Legal Secretary to support our busy family law department.
The Role
You will provide vital day-to-day support to a dedicated legal team consisting of solicitors and paralegals. This is a fast-paced and varied role where organisation, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of files, client communication, and administrative processes across the department.
Responsibilities
- Audio typing and document formatting
- Managing diaries, appointments, and team schedules
- Handling client calls and correspondence professionally
- Opening and closing client files
- Carrying out compliance and onboarding checks
- Preparing court bundles and legal documents
- Coordinating hearings, meetings, and conferences
- Managing digital filing and case management systems
- Supporting solicitors and paralegals with day-to-day administration
Requirements
- Previous experience in a legal secretary or legal support role
- Family law experience preferred but not essential
- Strong audio typing and document formatting skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management ability
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and digital filing systems
- Professional and empathetic communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail
