About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security Team Lead to oversee and drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of our
organization\’s IT infrastructure.
This critical leadership role will manage a team of infrastructure specialists, engineers, and administrators to ensure the seamless operation of
networking, server management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing systems.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strategic planning, resource management, vendor coordination, and adopting industry best practices to enhance our IT infrastructure capabilities and safeguard our digital assets
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct performance evaluations, set team goals, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud environments, to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection (EDR), SIEM solutions, and email security systems, to protect the organization from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Network Management: Manage and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure, leveraging tools like Ubiquiti UniFi Network, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Server and Storage Administration: Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments, as well as storage systems (SAN, NAS), to support business-critical applications.
- Cloud Computing: Lead the adoption and management of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) to support business applications and drive digital transformation initiatives.
- IT Service Management: Apply ITIL principles to ensure effective IT service delivery, incident management, and continuous improvement of infrastructure processes.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to procure technology solutions, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term IT infrastructure strategies aligned with organizational goals, incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Project Management: Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, evaluate new tools and technologies, and implement best practices to enhance infrastructure and security capabilities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and network security practices.
- Strong experience in server administration for Windows Server and Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficiency with storage systems (e.g., SAN, NAS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, including configuration, security, and user management.
- Experience with endpoint protection tools (EDR), SIEM systems, and email security platforms like Mimecast.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials + and ISO 27001
- Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex infrastructure and security challenges.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices for IT service management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS) are highly desirable.

- Industry-recognized certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, CISSP, Azure AZ-104, or Azure AZ-700.
- Experience DevOps practices and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
