We're partnering with a leading global commodities trading business to appoint a Senior Trade / Product Control Manager on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an urgent requirement and exclusively partnered via Trace, so a position that can be filled rapidly.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced trading environment and play a key role supporting a global commodities trading division. Working closely with Traders, Risk, Operations and Finance teams, you will be responsible for providing robust financial control, P&L analysis and valuation oversight across international trading books.
Key responsibilities include:
- Daily validation and explanation of trading gross margin and exchange margin calls
- P&L attribution, valuation review and financial reporting for trading activities
- Balance sheet and working capital analysis, including FX and interest allocations
- Partnering with front office teams to provide insight into trading performance and positions
- Enhancing controls, reporting processes and automation initiatives
- Supporting audit requirements and mentoring junior team members
- Analysis and resolution of margin call errors or reconciliation mis-matches
Required experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong Product Control and/or Trade Accounting experience gained within commodities trading, investment banking or a similar trading environment
- Solid understanding of P&L reporting, valuations, risk positions and financial controls
- Experience working with physical commodities is highly desirable
- Strong Excel and systems skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
