Following an acquisition, we are seeking an exceptional, delivery focused Interim Business Analyst with a background in managing migrations. This is a critical, highly hands-on interim role running until the end of the year. The project is bound by incredibly tight deadlines, and we need a tactical, analytical problem solver who can dive straight to the data. You will unpick complex migration challenges on day one.

Problem solving and experience managing business transfers/migrations are the keys to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Migration Delivery: You will drive the practical, day-to-day execution and transfer of client assets, accounts, historical data, and associated operational processes.
  • Ensure all migration activities strictly adhere to proper internal processes and that robust operational controls are established and maintained throughout the transition to prevent any data loss or operational gaps.
  • Interrogate legacy and target core platforms, mapping data fields accurately and ensuring seamless integration between systems.
  • Proactively identify data discrepancies and system integration issues. Own the resolution of these issues.
  • Conduct detailed data mapping and oversee complex asset reconciliation activities, ensuring the incoming client book aligns with the target platform.
  • Collaboration between core business functions, managing stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and the Front Office.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Platform Migration Track Record: you must have successfully moved a platform from one system to another within a wealth management or banking environment, demonstrating strong systemic fluency and technical adaptability.
  • Exceptional ability to work directly with complex databases, platform architectures, and data structures.
  • A proven ability to look at complex data or broken operational processes, find the root cause of a system mismatch, and implement a rapid, robust fix.
  • A proven ability to land in a complex, fast-moving environment, absorb technical information, and pick up execution tasks immediately.
  • A demonstrable background within Wealth Management, Banking, or Asset Management is essential.
  • An understanding of custody operations and products, including the operational nuances of migrating cash, stock, and equities.

Beneficial Experience:

  • A solid understanding of CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook) rules, specifically regarding client money and asset protection during a book transfer.
