Initial 3 Month Contract with potential to extend. £500 per day, inside IR35. You need to be immediately available to start. Must live in (or near to) London. The role is largely remote but you need to be able to get into London with ease.

A growing PE backed SME are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to lead finance for the UK and two overseas entities during a period of transition. This role ensures accurate reporting, audit, VAT, FRS 102 compliance, and strong financial control. As the role is mainly remote, it's ideal if you have experience in a standalone senior finance role and enjoy autonomy. There will be little handover so you will need to pick up the role quickly and enjoy a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead accounting operations for the UK and two international entities.
  • Manage month‑end close and prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Coordinate statutory audits.
  • Oversee VAT/statutory filings and treasury operations across Europe.
  • Partner on cash forecasting and intercompany activity.
  • Support Sage Intacct–Salesforce integration and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with international teams to enhance close and reporting cycles.

What You Bring:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in controllership roles and VAT.
  • Experience with FRS 102 audits.
  • It is helpful, although not necessary, to have US GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross‑functional communication.
  • Ability to step in quickly and take ownership with minimal handover.
  • Proficiency in Excel and working with multiple sources of data.
  • It is helpful if you have used Sage Intacct.
