Financial Controller, Central London (Hybrid - 3 days per week), Advertising, Β£80-90,000
A high-growth international Advertising Agency is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting, and process improvement across a multi-entity operation spanning the UK, North America, and Australia.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the finance function's integrity and performance, managing a small remote transactional finance team while helping build the systems, controls, and reporting required to support continued growth and investor readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close and consolidated group reporting across multiple international entities.
- Oversee revenue recognition, WIP, accrued income, deferred revenue, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Deliver accurate management accounts, variance analysis, and commercial insights to senior leadership.
- Strengthen financial controls, audit readiness, and reporting processes.
- Support due diligence, external audits, and strategic business initiatives.
- Own project and client profitability reporting, identifying trends and risks.
- Manage and develop a remote finance team, driving quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Oversee tax compliance, treasury management, and multi-currency cash flow.
About You
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
- Background in agency, consulting, professional services, or project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition, margin analysis, and financial controls.
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency reporting structures.
- Proven people management experience, ideally across distributed teams.
- Comfortable working in a technology-enabled finance environment and driving process automation.

- Exposure to audits, due diligence, fundraising, or corporate transactions.
