We are working with a global investment specialist that provides specialized financial services to its clients. They are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their team in their London office. They have 5 key business areas: Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Trading, and Principal Investment.

Your Role:

  • Developing and maintaining robust excel models to process the trade data
  • Apply accounting logic to generate DR/CR journal entries from trade data
  • Reconcile trade related entries with the general ledger
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper data mapping between Excel files and the accounting system
  • Support data quality checks and help implement error-handling procedures within the excel files

Your Skill:

  • Strong proficiency in excel is very key, including: Advanced formulas (e.g. Vlookup, Index/Match, Sumifs), Pivot Tables and data transformation, Basic VBA (not key but would be desirable)
  • Have basic understanding of accounting principles especially double-entry bookkeeping
  • Be a part qualified candidate or have equivalent work experience in accounting or finance
  • Prior experience in trade processing within financial services or an investment environment would be desirable but not necessary
  • Have experience working with large data sets and reconciling financial data
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
