I am working with a great Bank who are looking for a bookkeeper to join them on a part time basis. This person will be helping to clear a backlog of postings and get their accounts up to date.
Suitable candidates will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with significant experience with debits/credits, purchase and sales ledger, credit control and a full understanding of the balance sheet.
Key Responsibilities:- Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
- Clearing backlog on Sage
- Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded
- Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
- Preparing trial balances
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Performing other duties as required
- Onboarding and offboarding of clients
- Raising client letters of engagement
- Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
- Filing documents correctly with HMRC and Companies House
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience
- Significant Sage experience
- Clear understanding of debits and credits, journal entries etc.
- Strong communicator
- Ability to work independently and with autonomy
