We are collaborating with an established investment management firm that is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its team. The firm has an excellent history of successful investing and numerous exciting changes planned for the upcoming year. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of financial information. They are looking for a collaborative individual who is comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders.
Your role:
- Responsible for processing invoices, bank reconciliations and journal entries across multiple entities using the group ERP system
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting the year-end audit process including liaising with external auditors
- Performing account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with treasury management functions
- Assisting with month-end close activities
- Supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives within the finance function
Your skills & qualifications:
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years finance experience (ideally within Investment Management or Financial Services)
- Great interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and double-entry bookkeeping knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
