Overview
Ensuring the quality of all Trace Solutions software and supporting documentation meets the company standard and communicating information regarding functionality are key roles in achieving the company’s business objectives.
Objectives
- To ensure and, where necessary, to improve the quality of all TRAMPS/BlueBox/o6ix software releases to customers
- Maintain and improve test plans for all TRAMPS/BlueBox/o6ix modules
- Implement testing standards and procedures
- Improve knowledge of the products operation throughout Trace Solutions
- Update and improve manuals and release documentation
- Write comprehensive functional specifications for software enhancements
- Review programmers work during development
Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling and monitoring all testing work ensuring delivery within set release timescales
- System, performance and regression testing of all TRAMPS/BlueBox/o6ix products for new functionality and bug fixes
- Carrying out second line testing support for customers, requested via the Help Desk, and maintenance of issues and wish lists
- Investigation and reporting of problems found in software and documentation
- Preparation of release notes and other support documents using MS Word
- Maintenance of the Demo Database
- Reviewing programming specifications to ensure the software will perform as detailed by the relevant functional specification to support the business process involved
- Maintenance of manuals using MS Word
- Providing training in product operation to Consultants, Trainers and Support staff
- Co-ordination of bespoke requests and consultancy calls
- Occasionally provide pre-sales support with a specific emphasis on the accounting aspects of the products
- When requested, provide assistance to other teams within Trace Solutions
- Perform monthly checks on customer billing templates to confirm invoices will be issued correctly
Skills
Business
- Sound knowledge of Property Management, ideally with a good understanding of Property and Financial Accounts and Commercial and Residential block management markets
- Knowledge of Trace Solutions software to a level sufficient for detailed testing would be an advantage
- Knowledge of associated business issues to ensure credibility with internal staff and customers of all levels.
Technical
- Competence in MS Word and MS Excel for the preparation and amendment of documentation

- Good oral and written communication both within the team and with other teams.
- Helpful, understanding and supportive of customers and staff
