29th September, 2026Finance Manager, Sports, Central London, 60-65,000 We're working with an exciting, fast-scaling sports business looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager to join and help shape a growing finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a broad role offering genuine ownership across financial operations, management reporting, technical accounting, budgeting, forecasting and finance systems.The role You'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while playing a key role in building the processes, controls and reporting infrastructure needed to support continued growth.Key responsibilities include:Owning AP, AR, expenses, banking and balance sheet reconciliationsLeading the month-end close and management accounts, including meaningful variance analysisManaging 13-week and 12-month cash forecastingSupporting budgets, reforecasts and departmental spend reviewsPreparing FRS 102 financial statements and supporting the annual auditProviding financial insight and analysis to senior stakeholders, including the Board and Audit & Risk CommitteeImproving finance systems, processes and controls as the business scalesSupporting commercial projects, risk management and wider strategic initiativesWhat we're looking forWe're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a genuinely commercial mindset.You'll ideally have:Strong experience across management accounts, financial reporting and cash forecastingSolid FRS 102 knowledge and confidence around accounting judgementsExperience within a start-up, scale-up or high-growth environmentExcellent Excel and financial systems capabilityA proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership and make things happenThe ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersIdeally, experience within Sports, Media or Entertainment This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong Finance Manager who wants real ownership, senior exposure and the opportunity to help build something, rather than simply maintain the status quo.
