24th August, 2026Financial Controller, Central London, Communications Agency, 80,000-85,000Ready to make your mark in a high-growth, international business?

We're looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to join a fast-growing international Communications Agency and play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of its growth.

With operations across the UK, North America and Australia, this is a fantastic opportunity for a finance leader who wants more than simply "running the numbers".

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of financial control, reporting and insight across a complex, multi-entity operation β€” while helping build the systems, processes and controls needed to support continued growth and investor readiness.

This is a role with real scope, visibility and influence.

You'll be trusted to strengthen the finance function, challenge the business, improve how things are done and provide the commercial insight that helps senior leaders make better decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take the lead across the core financial control function, including: Leading month-end close and consolidated group reporting across multiple international entities.

Owning revenue recognition, WIP, accrued income, deferred revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.

Producing accurate management accounts, variance analysis and commercial insight for senior leadership.

Strengthening financial controls, audit readiness and reporting processes as the business continues to scale.

Supporting due diligence, external audits and strategic business initiatives.

Owning project and client profitability reporting, identifying trends, opportunities and potential risks.

Managing and developing a small remote transactional finance team, driving quality, consistency and efficiency.

Overseeing tax compliance, treasury management and multi-currency cash flow.

Looking beyond the numbers to identify opportunities to improve processes, automate activity and make finance more effective.

About You

You're a qualified finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with genuine commercial curiosity.

Ideally, you'll bring: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, with significant post-qualification experience.

Experience within an agency, consulting, professional services or project-based environment. Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, margin analysis and financial controls.

Experience operating within multi-entity and multi-currency reporting structures.

Proven people management experience, ideally leading or collaborating with distributed teams.

A technology-positive mindset, with the confidence to improve systems, automate processes and challenge inefficient ways of working.

The ability to operate at both the detail and strategic level β€” ensuring financial accuracy while understanding the bigger commercial picture.

The Opportunity This is much more than a traditional Financial Controller position.

You'll be joining a high-growth international business at an exciting point in its journey, with the opportunity to help shape the finance function rather than simply inherit one.

You'll have direct exposure to the CFO and senior leadership team, visibility across an international group and the opportunity to influence everything from reporting and controls to profitability, systems and operational efficiency.

If you're ambitious, commercially driven and excited by the opportunity to build, improve and make a tangible impact, this could be the perfect next step.
