Tax Accountant – £60,000 – 70,000 – Basingstoke/Guildford/London (hybrid working)
Trace Recruit is delighted to be supporting a professional services business, who are recruiting for a Tax Accountant.
Our client is recognised for their forward-thinking approach, delivering innovative solutions and advice to their clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax Accountant, supporting the Head of Tax and Compliance in delivering tax advisory and compliance.
This role will offer hybrid working and both FULL TIME and PART TIME applications are being considered with various location options to suit you!
About Your New Role
- Preparation of personal tax returns including amendments to estimated prior year returns, where required, this will be reviewed by the Head of Tax and Compliance.
- Tax computation preparation and manger any personal tax related issues, queries.
- Manage the tax return system, including reconciliation of the tax liability position to individual tax returns
- Assistance with the bi-annual tax payments to HMRC.
- Work closely with the accountant by reviewing the tax reserves
- Contacting HMRC regarding tax affairs, making the disclosure and assisting with enquiries.
- Engaging in tax discussions with newly appointed senior managers
- Assistance with the preparation of the tax computations and corporation tax return review for the operating businesses.
- Support with PSA calculation such as analysis of expenses.
- Assistance with VAT returns for the UK entities, review transactions to ensure VAT is accurately applied and claimed.
- Review and ensure the company complies with IR35 regulations.
- To undertake any specific training when required and overall responsibility towards self-development.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of personal tax experience, willingness to learn about other taxes is desirable.
- Good practical experience working with HMRC and stakeholder engagement with Senior Management
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach
This is a superb role for a qualified tax professional, working with a great team. Our client is considering both full time and part time candidates. Previous personal tax experience is essential.
