A fast-growing media & entertainment business requires a Qualified Accountant to join its London team. The opportunity will involve full ownership of financial and management accounts, with a wide scope of finance responsibilities. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director, supporting both BAU and strategic projects as the company enters its next growth phase.

You will lead the core accounting function for the UK business and play a key role in bringing the accounts in-house. Responsibilities span across reporting under UK and US GAAP, building financial models, completing VAT returns, and supporting commercial decision-making with timely and accurate financial information.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead on month-end close process and preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Preparation of impairment memos.
  • Building financial models in Excel to support forecasting and planning.
  • Cash flow and working capital forecasting.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
  • VAT review and submissions.
  • Statutory financial reporting.
  • Liaising with external auditors.
  • Preparing tax filings with HMRC.
  • Strengthening finance processes, internal controls, and driving efficiency.
  • Identifying and documenting process improvements.
  • Automating manual finance processes and controls.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified ACA/CA with an audit background and experience in Media & Entertainment, creative industries, or digital production.
  • MS Dynamics would be advantageous.
  • Month-end experience is essential.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills are essential, along with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.

Pay Range and Compensation Package: £70,000 per annum. This role requires 3 days a week in the office and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business at a pivotal stage of growth in the entertainment space.
