Junior Finance Business Partner, Higher Education, £38k–47k, London (Hybrid)

Ready to step into a strategic, business-facing role? A leading London university is hiring a Junior Finance Business Partner to join their collaborative finance team and support key decision-making across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in management accounts who’s keen to partner with stakeholders, provide insightful analysis, and shape how budgets and resources are managed.

You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate forecasting, financial reporting, and data-driven insights—all while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Finance Support – Deliver high-quality budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting to support College-wide planning.
  • Financial Analysis – Interpret complex data to provide meaningful insights that drive key decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with academic and professional services teams to make finance accessible and actionable.
  • Process Improvement – Help streamline financial systems and reporting processes, contributing to efficiency and accuracy.
  • Financial Training – Support non-finance colleagues with tools and guidance to engage confidently with budgets and policies.
  • Compliance – Ensure financial activities align with internal policies and maintain robust controls.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and presenting financial insights to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills and ideally experience with finance systems like Agresso or Excelerator.
  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to grow within a supportive environment.
