A highly reputable, listed Wealth and Investment Management firm are looking for an Operations Accountant. The company has over £100 billion of assets under management/administration and a network of offices around the UK.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure the trial balance is accurate as recorded on the General Ledger.
Your Role
- Monthly production of the trial balance including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing month-end reports for the senior management team.
- Ensure a robust control framework and always challenge and seek out process improvement opportunities.
- Provide assistance to the external audit team.
- Build strong connections with the wider finance team and senior finance leaders.
- Involvement in finance projects as and when required.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Ideally a recently qualified or part-qualified accountant with balance sheet reporting and strong reconciliations experience.
- First-class interpersonal skills for communicating with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Excellent systems and data visualisation skills including MS Excel.
- Be deadline driven and always look for process improvements.
