A well-respected international global financial services firm is looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified senior accountant with strong technical accounting experience to join their Finance team. The company provides you with an exciting, challenging role within a high performing team, with a great work ethic. Your role will involve regular interactions with the business, requiring timely decision making.

Your Role

  • Providing technical accounting and policy advice to teams across the business.
  • Addressing and resolving significant and one-off accounting issues.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the correct treatment of IFRS accounting standards including for Share-Based Payments, Revenue Recognition and Hedge Accounting.
  • Transitioning their subsidiaries from FRS 102 to FRS 101.
  • Updating the group accounting policy manual.
  • Documenting important decisions in an accounting memorandum and reviewing financial statements.
  • Interacting regularly with senior individuals, auditors and legal advisers.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with audit background and extensive IFRS technical accounting knowledge. This experience can be gained in an accountancy practice, a regulator (eg FRC) or from a team in industry.
  • Have strong Excel skills with an attention to detail.
  • Be technically minded, delivery focused with strong oral and written communication skills.
