We are supporting a leading membership body and training organisation to find a permanent Revenue Accountant to join their growing team. This role supports high-quality financial oversight by ensuring revenue data is complete, well-controlled, and clearly understood. The postholder bridges day-to-day revenue activity and formal financial reporting, providing insight that informs decision-making, planning, and external accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile revenue data between operational systems and the general ledger on a regular basis.
- Maintain structured schedules and reporting tools that support accurate revenue recognition.
- Produce clear, timely revenue reports for internal stakeholders, including senior management and governance bodies.
- Contribute to routine revenue forecasting, highlighting trends, assumptions, and emerging risks.
- Prepare variance analysis comparing actual performance to budgets across multiple revenue streams.
- Work alongside fundraising or delivery teams to support funder reporting and evidence requirements.
- Help establish proportionate, auditable processes for monitoring restricted funding and compliance.
- Collaborate with finance team members to ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Partner with users of revenue and finance systems to improve data quality, reconciliations, and handover points.
- Prepare revenue-related schedules and documentation for audit purposes and respond to follow-up queries.
- Apply relevant accounting standards consistently, documenting key assumptions and judgements.

Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant or Finalist Level (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Sound knowledge of revenue recognition and relevant accounting standards.
- Experience producing reconciliations and management reporting, including multi-currency.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and strong data handling capability.
- Experience in a nonprofit would be desirable (grant/funding exposure).
- Confident, collaborative communicator who works well across teams and seniority levels.
- Resilient under pressure and committed to meeting deadlines.
