The Opportunity
I’m working with a prestigious private bank to find an exceptional Senior Commercial Finance/FP&A Manager. This is a genuinely influential role, sitting at the heart of the bank’s financial operation and decision-making machine, with real visibility across the organisation and direct engagement with senior leadership and the Board.
You’ll take ownership of financial planning, performance reporting, and commercial analysis, while building collaborative partnerships across every department. If you’re someone who’s energised by translating complex financial data into clear strategic insight, and you enjoy being a trusted voice at the table, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and continuously improve end-to-end performance reporting across income, cost, projects, impairment, and capital.
- Lead the production of rolling forecasts, budgets, and five-year plans, challenging assumptions and articulating outcomes with confidence.
- Produce monthly management accounts for the management team and Board, shaping the key narrative and messaging.
- Partner with business heads across the organisation, supporting commercial decision-making and acting as a genuine finance business partner.
- Develop and own the loan pricing model, integrating CRM and HALO systems with enhanced data reporting.
- Drive the automation and improvement of management reporting, including new KPIs for senior stakeholders.
- Support cost challenge initiatives and act as secretariat for the Cost Council.
- Manage and develop direct reports, building a high-performing Finance and Commercial function.
What We’re looking for
- Deep understanding of bank profitability drivers, financial management, and performance metrics in a regulated environment.
- Comfortable presenting and influencing at C-suite and Board level, with the communication skills to distil complex analysis clearly.
- Curious, commercially minded, and aware of market trends — able to connect financial insight to broader business strategy.
- Proven experience navigating and implementing change, both within finance and across the wider organisation.
