A fast growing Fintech with 6 global entities is seeking an experienced Payroller to join them for 6 months. You will take ownership of payroll for c500 staff monthly who are mainly in the UK with some overseas. Working with HR and the People team, you will business partner to ensure accuracy of data and report to the Financial Controller.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process across 6 Group entities of c500 staff, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • Ensure full adherence to all relevant compliance and regulations in each of their payroll jurisdictions.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all employee related payroll queries and manage payroll matters with benefit providers, payroll partners and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed payroll reconciliations, post payroll journal entries onto our general ledger, and assist with financial reporting of staff costs.
  • Keep abreast of payroll legislation, implementing best practices and driving efficiencies in our current systems and processes.
  • Manage employee expense reimbursement process.

Once settled in the role, there is an opportunity to help migrate data for a recent acquisition. This will involve payroll journals, reconciliations, reporting and staff expenses. Longer term the position will become permanent so you will hand the role to a new permanent person or you could convert to permanent.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in payroll management, preferably within a fast-paced, high growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Desired Experience:

  • CIPP qualification (or international equivalent) is preferred, but not required.
  • Payroll legislation and compliance for overseas.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing software: HiBob, Pento, Deel is advantageous.
