Varied senior finance role running all aspects of day-to-day finance. Leading a team of 4 and reporting into the CFO. The role will assume maternity cover for the current Head of Finance at a really busy and exciting time for the Group. In a niche security and fraud prevention marketplace, and still privately funded, there is a great mix of autonomy and pace to the environment.

Immediate Challenges

  • Continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, controls and systems
  • Create management reporting and FPA processes that provide the right level of insight and forward planning for the new Group representatives
  • Lead the small team enabling the CFO to focus on external/growth initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of the monthly management accounts & commentary and responsible for all financial reporting to the senior team, including the financial KPIs
  • Responsible for the annual statutory accounts and audit process
  • Management of the finance team, providing coaching & people development
  • Responsible for working capital and treasury management, including currency based cash flow forecasting
  • Responsible for UK and International VAT/sales tax compliance & returns
  • Work with external tax advisors regarding Company Corporation tax returns

Key Skills

  • Qualified Accountant, with previous experience in a software/SAAS business model
  • Financial control experience & technical accounting skills
  • Strong quantitative & analytical competency with attention to detail
  • Risk & opportunity management
  • Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives & stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strategic & commercial focus
