A well-established, family-owned fashion retail and wholesale business based in Central London is looking for an experienced and reliable Accounts Assistant & Administrator to join its team on a permanent basis. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance and administration of the business, covering everything from invoice processing, bookkeeping and credit control through to payments, spreadsheets and general office administration.

The ideal candidate will have around 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator or bookkeeping position, with strong attention to detail, good Excel skills and a proactive, organised approach.

About the Role:

The Accounts Assistant & Administrator will support the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are accurate, payments are processed on time and customer and supplier accounts are kept up to date. The role will cover a broad range of transactional finance responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, bank transactions, credit control, payment runs and general bookkeeping. You will also liaise directly with customers and suppliers, handle account queries and provide financial information to the external accountant.

Alongside the finance responsibilities, you'll provide general administrative support across the business, including maintaining spreadsheets, updating product pricing, assisting with payroll and expenses and supporting the wider team with ad hoc tasks.
