Financial Accountant in London

A Mid Tier Financial Services firm, with global reach, are seeking an Accountant with around 2 years PQE to join them for circa 3-4 months to assist with Year end.

This role is hybrid & offered at £450 – £500 p/day inside IR35 and an immediate start is required

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and completion of year-end financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Manage the year-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Prepare audit files and schedules, liaising with external auditors throughout the audit process
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
• Review and post year-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
• Ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller as required

Essential Requirements

• ACA, CAANZ or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in year-end accounting and statutory reporting
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
• Experience working within Financial Services
• Advanced Excel skills
