Join a charity where every role makes a difference.
We're looking for an organised, friendly and proactive Office Administrator to become an important part of our team.
This is much more than an administration role. As a charity, every member of our team plays a part in helping us support young people and their families. We don't believe in "that's not my job" β we believe in working together, supporting one another and doing whatever is needed to make each day a success.
If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things organised, loves helping people and thrives in a close-knit team, we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
You'll be at the heart of our organisation, helping to ensure our office runs smoothly and efficiently while providing a warm and welcoming experience for young people, families, visitors and colleagues.
No two days are the same. One moment you'll be answering the telephone, the next you'll be helping prepare sessions for young people, updating records, greeting visitors or supporting the wider team with day-to-day administration.
Your work will make a genuine difference by helping our frontline teams focus on supporting the young people who rely on our services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Being the first point of contact for telephone, email and visitor enquiries.
- Welcoming young people, families and visitors into our centre.
- Supporting the organisation and scheduling of young people's sessions and visits.
- Keeping databases, records and attendance information accurate and up to date.
- Preparing correspondence and carrying out general administrative duties.
- Supporting the Office Manager with the smooth running of the office.
- Assisting with Health & Safety administration.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity to support wherever needed.
As with most charities, flexibility is key. From time to time you'll help with tasks outside of your core responsibilities because that's simply how we work together as a team.
About You
We're looking for someone with the right attitude as much as the right experience.
You'll Be
- Friendly, approachable and welcoming.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Confident using computers and learning new systems quickly.
- A natural problem solver who uses their own initiative.
- A great communicator with an excellent telephone manner.
- Flexible, positive and happy to get involved wherever needed.
- Passionate about supporting the values and mission of our charity.
We'd Love It If You Also Have
- Experience using Google Workspace and/or Salesforce.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Previous experience working within a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
Why Join Us?
Working for a charity is different.
Every day you'll know your work contributes towards making a real difference to the lives of young people and their families. You'll join a supportive, caring team where collaboration is valued, everyone's contribution matters and no two days are ever quite the same.
If you're looking for a role where your organisational skills, positivity and willingness to help others can genuinely make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
