We’re working in partnership with a well‑established and highly regarded training provider to recruit an Engineering Tutor / Assessor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to step into education, or an existing trainer/assessor seeking a new challenge with flexibility and autonomy.
The Role
- This is a hybrid, field‑based position where you’ll support and assess learners in real workplace environments.
- You’ll play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers through hands‑on coaching and assessment.
- Deliver and assess Engineering Maintenance programmes.
- Conduct workplace visits, observations, and progress reviews.
- Provide coaching and support to apprentices on‑site.
- Manage your own diary with flexible, self‑directed working.
- Cover a regional patch from Cheshire through to Yorkshire.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 4 qualification (or above) in Engineering.
- Industry experience in engineering maintenance.
- Previous teaching, training, or assessing experience (desirable, not essential).
- Assessor qualification (advantageous but can be supported).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
What’s on Offer
Salary: £35,975 – £38,985 (depending on experience).
