An established education provider in the Berkshire area is seeking a Technical Skills Coach in Plumbing & Gas to join their Apprenticeships team on a full‑time, permanent basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support and mentor apprentices, helping them develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to succeed in their careers and achieve their End Point Assessments. You will manage a caseload of apprentices, working closely with both learners and employers to monitor progress, provide guidance, and ensure a high‑quality training experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor Plumbing & Gas apprentices throughout their learning journey
- Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers
- Track development using e‑portfolios and digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- Ensure compliance with funding, audit, and quality standards
- Support apprentices in achieving timely completion and successful assessments
About You
- Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating (essential)
- Gas qualifications (CCN1 and CENWAT)
- Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or willingness to work towards
- Experience supporting apprentices or learners in a training/education setting
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A teaching qualification or curriculum delivery experience (desirable)
