You'll plan and deliver lessons, assess learner progress, provide academic and pastoral support, and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
The Role
- As a Lecturer In Carpentry, You Will
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Carpentry programmes.
- Plan lessons and develop schemes of work.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Act as a personal tutor, supporting students throughout their learning journey.
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to quality assurance activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and other stakeholders to enhance learner outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- A Level 2 qualification or above in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery.
- Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
- Experience teaching or training within a vocational carpentry or construction environment.
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and delivering an outstanding learner experience.
A recognised teaching qualification (Level 4 or Level 5) and assessor qualifications are desirable but not essential.
